Sorry if you lost all faith in the BBC and Doctor Who after that awful, awful clip from Doctor Who: Dreamland, but this is the real Doctor Who, not some shitty animated version. This is the trailer for "The Waters of Mars", the next episode of the Doctor's adventures as we wind down the David Tennant / Russell Davies era.

Supreme Master Television is a cult owned and operated TV station that broadcasts around the world in a zillion different languages (all at the same time apparently) and tries to brainwash the world into a crazy vegan robe-wearing Kumbayah-singing New Agey crystal wearing Borg of sorts.

Rumor has it that Apple is shopping around a subscription service to TV networks that would give iTunes users a catch-all subscription for $30 a month. Nobody's jumped on board just yet, and of course networks have to work out their typical fears of such a service cutting into ratings and biting into cable revenue. However, at least one unnamed executive briefed on the plan says "I think they might get it right this time," and with Disney's cozy relationship with Apple there's reason believe they'd be the first to sign up.

There are a lot of overpriced and useless government programs out there, but DARPA isn't one of them. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has had their hands in some of the most advanced technology created since its inception in 1958, including the internet. They work closely with universities and civillian industries to create defense technology that is second to none.

This "part 3" is a segment of a fan-made Doctor Who anime film that is being created by a single person. One guy. Out of the three parts so far, this is probably the most entertaining, though here's part 1 and part 2. Part 1 is mainly just about his process of creating the animation and part 2 is just a bunch of Daleks freaking the hell out as Daleks are apt to do.

This is a fake commercial from the 1990s sketch comedy series "Full Frontal" for a product that many of us may have wished we had had at some point-- a fuel additive for getting your car to start easier called "Start You Bastard", because unfortunately just yelling it at the engine doesn't seem to work.

You remember those days when companies made a killing with rackets like "Call this 900 number to talk to He-Man... no really, the real He-Man. For only $2 for the first minute, 45 cents for each additional minute!" And then you'd go to your mom and she'd say "no" and then you go to your dad and he smacks you across the mouth for even asking  and then you call anyway, knowing that you're going to get a beating, but oh it's so worth it just to talk to He-Man! That was awesome.

Holy hell, how did I never ever see or hear about this until today? When I was a kid, I had a collection of Mad Magazine that could have propped up a corner of a house in case of an earthquake.
