I was watching TV the other day and saw that DJ Hero commercial with Eminem and Jay-Z and I started thinking about the fact that these peripherals are just going to keep going and going with this idea of playing a virtual instrument without ever picking up a real one.

Since I guess there isn't any actual real news to cover, CNN breaks the story of a 12 year old who scored 1,019,000 points on Guitar Hero, earning the "YOU ARE FAGS" achievement. For breaking news on all the important crap like 12 year old setting high scores on video games, it's on CNN.

The Guitar Hero and Rock Band games have sold zillions of copies on covers and original recordings of classic and pop tunes, but until now, 3D renditions of the artists themselves have not been in the game-- Slash and Beatles Rock Band aside. And now Activision has announced that Kurt Cobain will be in GH5 as a playable character.

You ever wanted the awesomeness of Guitar Hero with the chirpiness of 8-bit sound and a 2 button controller? The recently release NES ROM, D-Pad Hero brings you the best of both worlds-- with tracks from Guns n Roses, Michael Jackson, Daft Punk and A-Ha, all in glorious chirpy sound. And it's available for NES emulators for Windows, OS X and Linux! Yay!

Okay, so we've certainly had our share of Guitar Hero videos, but I for one, would like to call this one the best one I've ever seen and will be put up on a pedestal as the most awesome GH video ever. Yes, beating the Dragonforce song on expert takes incredible skill, but making it your bitch on a modified drum kit on expert is just... inhumanly wicked.

Activision recently released the complete, massive song list for the next iteration of the Guitar Hero franchise, Rock Band 3 Guitar Hero World Tour, which trumps the song list for Rock Band 2. It's also great to see some names on the list that should have shown up before-- The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Dream Theater and Michael Jackson to name a few.

Frankly, he's not all that at Guitar Hero III, but his fugly ass is playing naked for the entire Internets to see. So he's got that and that's pretty funny. Sorry ladies, no weener, just a big hairy ugly unwashed ass and some pseudo power chords.
