  • An early look at Interplay's Fallout MMO [I Heart Video Games]

    Yeah, I said Interplay's Fallout MMO. You see, there's a bit of legal wrangling between Bethesda and Interplay, the company that used to own the rights to Fallout before Bethesda bought them in 2007. It's really messy. But in any case, all you should know is that Interplay's been working on a Fallout MMO, in between Bethesda forcing them not to over the trademark questions. And out of this whole mess, we get some cool concept art.

    If you just can't wait to have a copy of Fallout 3 in your hands, here's one more thing to make you lose sleep at night thinking about it.  Out of the PAX conference in Seattle, there are not one, not two, but five new Fallout 3 gameplay videos.  Before we saw the wicked targeting system and the look of the game, but now we get to see more of the story and gameplay mechanics and it really does look like the fully immersive 3D Fallout you always wish they could have made back in the day.  Click here to see all 5 videos.  Thanks to Delsyd for the link.

  • Brand new gameplay demo for Fallout 3 [I Heart Games]

    Finally, we get the first real look at Fallout 3 in action and it looks like it definitely lives up to the hype. Well, with such a prestigious lineage and two previous games that were incredible and groundbreaking, it has a lot to live up to. Even though since the first Fallout came out, the post-apocalypse genre has expanded some and even though F3 takes the form of a first person shooter / survival game, which there's been quite a lot of in the past 10 years, the third Fallout still looks to retain much of the originality and wit that made the first two so much fun.
