There's a place in Ontario called "Dave's Farm" that's sort of become ground zero for Canadians coming and doing really stupid and/or awesome shit in cars, filming it and putting it up on YouTube. Dave makes a whopping $15,000 a month from shared revenue from the videos. And it's all fun and games til somebody breaks their back in three places jumping an RV.

Hey look, it's something that nobody asked for and nobody wanted-- a reboot of the shitty 90s Canadian CGI cartoon ReBoot. If you don't remember ReBoot, you're lucky. The only redeeming value of the show was that it was the first regular cartoon to be fully computer generated and animated, though they should have spent more money on writers, honestly. The show was awful, and even for the time, the animation looked awful. But if you are a ReBoot fan, you're in luck, because they're bringing it back. Here's a no-info teaser trailer.

Here in the US, we've had several years of the US Mint pumping out collectible coins-- from the state quarters to the presidential dollars, but our moose-eating neighbors to the north have trumped that. Hell, they've trumped EVERYBODY with this limited edition run of silver $4 coins with dinosaur fossils on them. Holy shit. The catch is that this isn't mass-issued money, it's collector's money, meaning that $4 coin will run you $42.95 Canadian. Still... fucking awesome.

So I guess today is Canadian Thanksgiving, which I tried to mention something about last year, but I was taken aback at how much earlier Canadian Thanksgiving is than real Thanksgiving. Early October, really? You're blowing your Thanksgiving wad early, Canada. In the US, when we have Thanksgiving in late November, the last 2 months of the year just blur into one giant stuff-your-fat-face fest. I've been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 lately in between rounds of getting the new site redesign done and so I found this vid particularly cool. The US may have the largest military in the world, but you may not be aware that Canada has some of the best snipers in the world. It's a Canadian that holds the record for the longest sniper kill at almost 2.5 miles. That's about 4.5 seconds between pulling the trigger and hitting the target and a bullet drop of 230 feet.

A Canadian comedy duo called The Masked Avengers from CKOI 96.9 FM in Montreal, Quebec pranked Sarah Palin, convincing her (and her team) they were receiving a call from French President Nicolas Sarkozy. They've done this sort of thing before, their most famous to this point being their pranking of Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper, making him believe he was talking to Jacques Chirac. So Palin isn't alone... but it is somehow funnier knowing that she already has a tenuous grasp on most things foreign.

Usually we only get to see this sort of blatant copyright ripoff in third world countries, but here we have an example sent to us by Exalia of such infractions in Canada. Maybe Canada is a third world country.
