First off, this song would be awesome if it weren't for the video. Tom motherfucking Waits and Kool Keith. An odd, but awesome combination. But add in one of the most wickedest 5 minutes of animations and it's a winner with a capital W. Oh, and BoingBoing... can you not just fucking watermark your shit instead of starting the video, stopping it for your intro and then restarting it? That's annoying. Kthx.

A few upcoming movies, in lieu of actually giving us trailers, have released the poster art to their movies to try and get the buzz going. Okay, whatever, but I'd better see some fucking trailers soon god dammit. The first is for a movie Alien vs. Ninja. The synopsis is below, but much like Snakes on a Plane, with AvN, the title is pretty much the synopsis, though I hear it's sort of like Predator meets Tokyo Gore Police.

It was a sad, sad day when I was a kid, when schools started replacing the old wooden desk with the knife and pencil proof plastic and metal ones. I remember every year, on the first day of school, reading the shit carved into my new school desk was a rite of passage-- acquiring the knowledge of older kids such as "Peter is a faggot" and "I <3 NKOTB". When the wooden desks were gone, there was nothing to pass things on from grade to grade... just cold, clean plastic.

Since it's Halloween, I just wouldn't feel right without posting the obligatory geek jack-o-lantern gallery. A bunch of these you've probably already seen other places, some you haven't. Many of these just come from a variety of places that I found on Google. Several of the video game themed pumpkins come from Kotaku and then thre's several from my friend Jason at Karvd.com. He's really fucking good.

In addition to movie trailers, movie posters are a great way for movie studios to try and convince you to see their movie. They're at the forefront of marketing efforts, they're plasterd outside theaters and usually end up being the DVD or Blu-Ray box art and a crappy looking poster can give the impression of a half-assed movie. And while some movie posters are just okay, there are others that should be hanging in an art museum.
