Hey look, it's something that nobody asked for and nobody wanted-- a reboot of the shitty 90s Canadian CGI cartoon ReBoot. If you don't remember ReBoot, you're lucky. The only redeeming value of the show was that it was the first regular cartoon to be fully computer generated and animated, though they should have spent more money on writers, honestly. The show was awful, and even for the time, the animation looked awful. But if you are a ReBoot fan, you're in luck, because they're bringing it back. Here's a no-info teaser trailer.

A remastered version of the 1990s point and click adventure "Beneath a Steel Sky" is now available in the iTunes store for the iPhone and iPod touch. The original 1994 game told the story of an orphan adopted by Aboriginal Australians in a dystopian future. The game's graphics and artwork were down by Dave Gibbons, co-creator of Watchmen. Fucking sweet. I don't have to get an iPhone, but i might just have to pick up a Touch at some point to snag some of the great games that are coming out for it.

For those of you living outside the US, be thankful that you never had to be subjected to the show Home Improvement starring Tim Allen. Sure, it had its funny moments, but it never should have gone on nearly as long as it did and it certainly never should have gotten its own SNES game. What the hell sort of game can be made out of a wisecracking dad that has his own home improvement show? A really, really bad one.

As MTV was moving out of music and into crappy reality TV and exclusive non-music programming, there was Liquid Television, a showcase of raw, independent and wacky cartoons. One of the lesser known of these was Mutilator, an awesome 80s-post-apocalypse-retro toon done by Eric Fogel, creator of The Head and Celebrity Deathmatch. But it was Mutilator, with its intentionally awful style that resembled doodles on the back of a 12 year old boy's spiral notebook, its campy dialogue and awesomely awful metal soundtrack that was the true genius of them all.
