Just like all of us, I'm sure, Croatian illustrator Vanja Mrgan thought to himself "What would Batman look like with a beard?" And from there, he whipped up a whole series of famous beardless characters with beards. Yeah, so anyway... why the hell doesn't Batman have a beard?

Okay. I'm going to play the role of the Halls executive and this commercial will play the role of the bright young creative director who's going to pitch this Halls commercial. So I say "You've got a new Halls ad for us, is that correct?" And then the creative director says:

3D Dot Game Heroes, an upcoming RPG for the PS3 isn't really the kind of RPG that you're used to seeing these days. Instead, it's a fun tongue-in-cheek homage to the 2D RPGs of days gone by like the original Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior, done in a pixeled 3D style.

Today Google announced the Google Chrome OS, an open-source web-based operating system. What is it? Well, Google's already stated that "Googlel Chrome OS is Chrome", meaning that the operating system is basically Chrome used to manage your computer. Only since it's a web-based OS, your data is not physically on your machine, but in the Google data cloud. Check out the video below for a good amount of explanation.

Yes Virginia, there is a very vibrant Predator cosplay community on the internets. Apparently all you need is a premade Predator helmet with dreads, some fishnet body stockings and some big gloves and you're in the club.

But some guy rendered not only what Earth would look like from the outside if it was a ringed planet, but also what the rings would look like from various points on Earth looking up. Holy fuck, I want a ringed planet now. That looks so badass.

Even if you're only a casual comic book fan, you may remember a while back there was that whole Batman story arc where Bruce Wayne supposedly got killed off for good by Darkseid, only he wasn't really dead, but in the meantime, a whole slew of good guys and bad guys stepped forth to try and claim the mantle of the Caped Crusader of Gotham.

First off, this song would be awesome if it weren't for the video. Tom motherfucking Waits and Kool Keith. An odd, but awesome combination. But add in one of the most wickedest 5 minutes of animations and it's a winner with a capital W. Oh, and BoingBoing... can you not just fucking watermark your shit instead of starting the video, stopping it for your intro and then restarting it? That's annoying. Kthx.
