The quest to create a realistic digital actor that’s completely indistinguishable from a real person is one step closer with Emily, a virtual talking head that captures minute facial movements from video and translates them into expressions that aim to eliminate that creepy feeling from many other digital humans of the past. There’s still a little bit of stiffness around the mouth, but the key to making a digital actor seem real is in the eyes. Via: io9
