Know your internet crazies: CountryAboveSelf.com [Politics Suck]

Gotta love internet political kooks. At CountryAboveSelf.com, right-wing nutjobs can nominate people to be either patriots or traitors, which sounds like a fun game except sadly, there really isn’t any surprise. If you’re a right-wing, God-fearing Republican (or Republican wannabe), you end up in the Patriot column. If you’re a Democrat, you’re in the Traitor column. I’m not exactly what purpose this serves other than perhaps some sort of fantasy hit list that they jerk off to in order to put themselves to sleep at night. Because nothing says “I love freedom” like imagining a country where all your enemies are thrown into prison if they disagree with you. God Bless America.

As you can see from the screengrab above, in the Patriot column, we have some real winners like Alberto “I can’t recall where my asshole is” Gonzales, George W. Bush, Dick “I eat babies” Cheney, McCain, Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Coulter… Bill Cosby?! And further down the list, oddly enough, above Michael Savage, Mitt Romney and Jim DeMint is Stephen Colbert. Which means that either somebody’s infiltrated the voting or there are people out there that take Stephen Colbert seriously as a right-wing pundit.

In the traitor column, you have the people you might expect– Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, Dennis Kucinich, Michael Moore– and then sitting right up at the top is Ron Paul. Why Ron Paul? He’s a Republican, right? Well kinda sorta. He’s a Republican, but not a God-fearing abortion-doctor-hating Republican, but a free market Libertarian Republican who has gone on record hinting that he might sorta kinda like Obama over McCain because he “doesn’t care whether there’s a Democrat or Republican in the White House, as long as we have a president who respects the Constitution”. A president who repects and honors the Constitution? HOW DARE HE!!11!
