Know your internet crazies: Hillaryis44.org [Politics Suck]

Everyone knows that the internet is full of crazy people and that people often get a little crazy around election time. When issues that you care about are on the line and you get staunchly behind one candidate or another, sometimes people can lose their minds. Obama has his crazy supporters as does Hillary Clinton and McCain. Hell, there’s even people that lose their minds over Pat Buchanan and Alan Keyes. But for sheer unadulterated batshit losing grip on reality crazy, nothing takes the cake like Hillaryis44.org.

For a while, I thought that Hillaryis44 had to be a spoof site. I thought there’s no one that is that crazy and that delusional, there is no way there’s this huge group of Hillary supporters out there purposely making themselves the laughingstock of the internet. But yes. Oh, dear god yes.

Hillaryis44 is named because Hillary would be the 44th president, not that she’s only 44 years old. They’re not that crazy. Well, maybe. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

The site is like a teen girl AOL chat room combined with FreeRepublic combined with menopause topped off with a healthy handful of quaaludes, acid and crack-cocaine. If you’ve ever wanted to hear the absolute craziest, dumbest, most poorly worded arguments for things like why MI and FL should count, even though all parties knew it wouldn’t from the start, this site has you covered. If you’re white, poor and illiterate, YOU’LL LOOOOVE HILLARYIS44!

Right now for example, as John Edwards is openly endorsing Barack Obama for president, the 44ers are still arguing how decisive and groundbreaking and game-changing her win in WV was. All 20 delegates that she won there, which is fewer than the number of superdelegates than Obama’s gotten since Monday. Or consider the fact that frankly it’s about damn time Hillary won a state by a large margin considering that in comparison, this would only equate to Obama’s 11th largest margin of victory. Oh well, such is the selective conscious mind. How do 44ers feel about Obama and Hillary and the whole shebang? With such insightful commentary such as:

Honestly, if I were Hillary, I would be doing everything I could to get this cave of crazy shut down. But I’m glad it’s there, because it’s just one laff riot after another. And don’t expect to go over there and try to out-troll them… all the comments have to be approved before they show up, just to make sure it’s a big pink circle jerk.

Recently, a Farker set up Hillaryis404.org when 44 went down under the strain of the Indiana / NC primary discussion. Thank god for Fark.

I just can’t wait until she is forced to drop out. Thousands of 44ers will flood the site for months, at least those who have not thrown themselves out of a 10 story window. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
