Jim Henson explores the process of visual thinking [I Heart TV]

Visual thinking has always been a staple of the Sesame Street / Muppets teaching philosophy and here we have some early clips with Kermit the Frog on Sam & Friends, Henson’s first children’s show and then the skit redone on Sesame Street years later.

First, on Sam & Friends, Kermit plays the square to Harry the Hipster, a very short lived Muppet.

And then in 1966, when Kermit took over the lead role from Harry, he becomes the hipster explaining the process of visual thinking to the Grump on the Ed Sullivan show.

And then n 1977, the skit was redone again, this time with two puppets voiced by Frank Oz.
