Enormous dumbass or filthy liar flies directly into Area 51 live on Coast to Coast [Stupid]
This is a classic from Coast to Coast AM, from 1997, back when Art Bell was on the air– some crazy redneck in a small plane, decked out to look like a Red Cross plane, claims that he is flying straight into Area 51 to “see what’s going on down there”, because as he says it’s his right as an American. Well, the military thinks otherwise and shoots him down while he’s on the phone with Coast to Coast.
I have no idea whether this is real or not… and given it’s Coast to Coast and there’s been several people who have put on pretty elaborate hoaxes just to fool Art Bell or George Noory, there is a chance that it is a fake, but if it is, it’s a damn good one and still entertaining as hell. After the incident, Art tried to send follow-up faxes to the woman who sent him the original fax that her boyfriend was trying to get through with this crazy stunt and never received any reply. In the wake of that, he said that he said he would allow the possibility of the hoax… BUT NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE!
