Cuss-o-Meter: We are some dirty fucking bastards [I Heart Internets]

I recently stumbled upon this fun little web app that’s obviously just some sort of shameless ploy to get traffic and links but what the hell, I’ll bite. It’s the Cuss-O-Meter… a little application thing that shows you the percentage of swear words on a particular site. This could be useful for SEO maybe, but otherwise, it’s just fun.

How did IHC do? Around 33.6% of our pages contain cussing, which is 236% more than other websites that took the test and the average is 9%. Personally, I’m a little disappointed god dammit, we can do much better than that. Fuck.

How did other sites do?

CNN.com: 0.6% of the pages contained cursing, 93% lower than normal

FoxNews.com: 1% of the pages contained cursing, 89% lower than normal.

Fark.com: 0.3% of the pages contained cursing, 97% lower than normal.

SomethingAwful.com: 2.1% of the pages contained cursing, 77% lower than normal.

LemonParty.org: 20% of the pages contained cursing, 122% more than normal.

YouTube.com: 1.6% of the pages contained cursing, 82% less than normal.

World of Warcraft Forums: 28.9% of the pages contained cursing, 221% more than normal.
