How To: Make a cat litter box cake [How To]
April 2nd, 2008 • Related • Filed Under

Next time any cake-making occasion comes up, why go with a boring chocolate layer cake or Black Forest cake when you can make a cake that’s as ingenious as it is repulsive to eat… a cake that looks just like a used cat litter box.
Click here for the step-by-step instructions via Picasa. If you actually make one of these, let us know, with pictures of the horror on people’s faces and everything.

This might be a cool gift for:
1. April Fools
2. Halloween
3. Bachelor/ette Party
But the Meat Cake that was posted in the CranberryzeroVille blog way back in the Summer of last year still reigns supreme! (http://www.blackwidowbakery.com/demo/meatcake/)
I actually made one for my buddy’s bachelor party in August. All the women inspected it, some were even surprised it was really made of meatloaf and mashed potatoes. All the men tried a small piece. It tasted alright, but I think the idea of a Meat Cake was just a little too much to take when trying to really enjoy it, no matter how much ketchup or BBQ sauce you used.
I mean, it’s too much of a clash of cognitive and conditioned responses - like watching boobies and thinking you used to drink from your moms’. It just doesn’t jive!
Anyways, I will try this Cat Litter Cake at my wife’s next party. It’ll be funny because I have two cats.

I’ve wanted to try this recipe for a long, long time now. I might be motivated enough to do it now. I, too, made a meat-cake last summer. Maybe Cranberryzero can post the pictures of it. He got to sample it’s delectable, meaty goodness.

It was surprisingly tasty, although I think we took a few days off of our lives by eating it.

That’s not just gravy, that’s Gravy Master gravy seasoning! :)
