Free Movie Friday: The Occult Experience [I Heart Movies]

To some, this movie may be as disturbing or possibly more disturbing than something like Faces of Death.  But those people are idiots.  Made in 1985, in the midst of the Satanic child sacrifice cult scare, The Occult Experience is for the most part, a surprisingly even-handed, rational and thorough look at the world, the practices and the mindsets of non-Christian pagan, Wiccan and Satanic religions and the reactions to them.

There’s very little sensationalism and lots of interviews directly with the practitioners of these religions to give the viewer a fair look at religious practices most in 1985 would have automatically associated with baby-eating cult members.
