Get your very own permanent elf (or Vulcan) ears [I Heart Tech]

God, isn’t plastic surgery great? Surgeons can turn boys into girls, girls into boys, fat people into skinny people, skinny people into fat people, or if you’ve always wanted to have pointy ears like a Vulcan or an elf– well surgeons can do that shit, too.

Hungarian plastic surgeon Dr. Lajos Nagy has made a name for himself in the world of plastic surgery by giving people who feel they should have been born with pointy ears the ability to unleash the night elf inside themselves. And as an added bonus, the new ear shape apparently enhances one’s music-listening experience. Which is one excuse when what you really want is just to have pointy elf ears. Personally, I think it’s a little weird but at the same a little hot.

A description of the surgery:

The procedure itself means a very careful dissection of the structures at the upper pole of the earlobe. The required reshaping is achieved by modellation of a specially designed chondro-cutaneous flap (a flap containing the own cartilage and skin of the patient). The new shape is fixed by means of absorbable sutures, skin closure is made with unabsorbable uninterrupted sutures.

The procedure is available at Dr. Nagy’s office in New York City and he will be soon introducing the procedure to his native land of Hungary.
