More movie scenes redone in typography [I Heart Movies]
We’ve already featured the brilliant interrogation scene from Pulp Fiction redone in type, but here’s a few more– from Kill Bill, V for Vendetta and Fight Club and others. Some NSFW language as you might expect since these ain’t kiddie movies.
Kill Bill - Lucy Liu’s “Now’s the motherfucking time” monologue redone in type is perhaps even more chilling than the original.
V for Vendetta - V’s enigmatic, humorous speech from the beginning of the film. The colors, the typeface and the odd angles fit the movie perfectly.
Fight Club - The Dune-like test of lye, pain and honesty captured perfectly in a frantic, grungy, broken down style.
Psycho - This is one of the simpler ones, but its starkness and jumbled type reflects Norman Bate’s state of mind.
The Big Lebowski - This is one of the best scenes from The Big Lebowski and shows off how the use of color and different typefaces can be used to convey multiple lines of dialogue at once in an engaging manner. Not terribly hot on the overuse of hard drop shadows, though.
And one more from Lebowski, this time with the “Nobody fucks with The Jesus” scene, this time done in my opinion, a little prettier than the first.
The Office - Dwight’s recitation of Mussolini’s speech redone here beautfiully in a stark typewriter-like Courier font. So it’s from a TV show not a movie. So what?
Ocean’s Eleven - George Clooney’s description of the how the break will go down, done a little differently– instead of showing every single word, this video uses the words as illustrations of the action.
