Capcom confirms new Street Fighter movie cast [I Heart Games]

As if the world didn’t suffer enough from the first attempt at a Street Fighter movie. As if Capcom didn’t already forever shame the name of Raul Julia and his family by casting him as M. Bison in that utter piece of crap movie that they feel they have to do it again, to more or less coincide with the release of SF IV.

Yes, there’s going to be another Street Fighter movie, for the love of God. Fortunately, it doesn’t have Jean Claude Van Damme. Unfortunately, Raul Julia is dead and can never make right the wrongs from the first movie. This new movie will center around Chun Li and her wacky adventures. The budget will be bigger, there are some decent stars and maybe, just maybe a new Street Fighter movie might not want us to think about defecting and hiding somewhere that no one has ever heard of Street Fighter.

The cast list so far is:

• Chun-Li: Kristin Kreuk. Plays the role of Lana Lang in the WB television series Smallville .

• Balrog: Michael Clarke Duncan. The Island (2005), Sin City (2005), Daredevil (2003)

• M. Bison: Neal McDonough. The Hitcher (2007), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Band of Brothers (2001)

• Vega: Taboo. Member of popular R&B music group Black Eyed Peas and recipient of three Grammy Awards.

• Charlie Nash: Chris Klein. We Were Soldiers (2002), American Pie (1999)
