Street Fighter II action figures… Blanka’s gonna bonk ya! [Dept. of Advertising Nonsense]

Some of you may remember this– the weird day when you knew marketers had lost their minds by creating Street Fighter II action figures as part of the GI Joe line. Street Fighter II action figures in their own right would have been okay, even if the figures themselves were pretty lame, but something about adding them to GI Joe, having them fight alongside GI Joe was a little disconcerting… at least for me.

Back to the “the figures themselves were pretty lame” thing… since when was Blanka a skinny, wild-haired park ranger?
