Ever-growing list of obsolete job skills [Work Sucks]

If the strongest skill on your resume is VCR repair, programming in Prolog or adjusting the heads on a 9-track player, maybe it’s time to go back to community college and get some real skills. Thankfully, there’s obsoleteskills.com, a quickly growing database of skills that no one needs anymore or won’t need in the future.
Things like asbestos installation, changing the ribbon on a typewriter, using a sextant, using a sliderule for calculation, cutting and editing Super 8 film… they’re all on the list and they’re all pretty much worthless. Unless you’re really counting on an apocalypse at some point, where a skill like winding coils for a crystal radio might come in handy, you might think about learning something new.
