Adam Carolla to host Top Gear USA? [I Heart TV]

According to who?  According to him, at least.  On his show on KSLX this morning, Carolla announced that he will be one of the presenters when America gets another shot at trying to replicate the best damn show ever on TV.

Carolla’s accusation could not be either confirmed or denied by NBC, who will be producing the show.

Astute readers will notice there that I used the word “accusation” as in I hope this casting decision doesn’t happen as in Carolla is implying that NBC wants this show to fail by adding the really uninteresting half of The Man Show to the lineup.

Or it may not matter– the show may suck either way.  America does have a bad track record of completely bastardizing Brisitsh TV anyway.

Who would be  good to add to an American version of Top Gear?  I could get down with some Jimmy Kimmel definitely… other than honestly I don’t know.  It’s hard to wrap one’s mind around a different trio than the perfect balance the BBC already has.  One of the Baldwins maybe?
