Disney brings the tweenage suck with Ultimate Band for the Wii [I Heart Games]
It stands to be said that when Disney uh “Disneyfies” Rock Band with Ultimate Band later this year, they’ll probably make more money from it than you or I could ever hope to see in a lifetime. However that doesn’t make it right.
Eschewing expensive peripherals that might be a barrier to having mom and dad buy this game for you, all the instruments (including singing– somehow) are played with the Wiimote– guitar, bass, vocals and drums (with only one drumstick apparently).
As you can see, the look of the game is like a horrific cross between Bratz dolls and Yahoo Answers avatars, which I’m sure is the target demographic. Nothing has been said about the play list, but there is sure to be some Hannah Montana and other sugarpop lip-syncing awfulness in there somewhere.
