No country for old men - the best Election 2008 impersonations [Politics Suck]

No matter who wins the upcoming presidential election, one thing is clear– someone on SNL and Mad TV etc are going to have their contract extended in order to do impersonations of the new president.  Who are the contenders in this battle of the stupid voices and fake eyebrows?  IHC has the rundown.

Barack Obama

Jordan Peele (I think?) on MadTV: Gets the attitude and the style, but the look isn’t really there.

Obama’s drug use at Occidental College: In my opinion, the best Obama impersonation hands down… has the look, the cool, the pronunciation.

Barack Obama Campaign Posters vid: Doesn’t really have the look, the voice or anything.

Obama as done on Saturday Night Live: Really gets the voice, the face and the motions down, especially the tapping the pen on the desk right before he speaks.  Rumor is that SNL is currently auditioning someone for the part long term, so maybe … it could be YOU!

Hillary Clinton

Saturday Night Live: Gets the look, the crazy laugh and the underlying nastiness.  Bonus: impersonations of Edwards, Gravel, Dodd and Biden.

Hillary: i know I can’t sing: She has the look down, the cackle and the thing the Hillary does about constantly smiling no matter what she’s saying.

Connie Bryan doing Hillary Clinton: Not really even close other than Hillary’s tendency to get really loud to try and get applause.

Jill Lesly Jones as Hillary: Has the motions down, the fake smile and the look.

MadTV Hillary Clinton: Really nails Hillary’s stiff behavior, especially contrasted here with the suave Obama.

John McCain

The ONLY McCain impersonation I could find after hours of searching was McCain sort of making fun of himself on SNL, which I can’t understand– I mean he’s old, he’s gruff, he moves his arms like a robot– should be easy. The best I could do was the stupid headline of this article. Oscar night, old men… yeah. :
