Train yourself to be a soul-crushing jerk — the RIAA way [I Heart Internets]
The RIAA produced a new video that has already begun appearing on torrent sites on techniques for cracking down on media pirating and how to get an RIAA investigator qualified as an “expert” in court. You can snag the video here via Pirate Bay.
The video is called In Trial and you should expect bits and pieces of it to start showing up on video sharing sites soon, which no doubt the RIAA will try to shut down.
From Jon Newton at P2P:
Starring ex-prosecutor Deborah Robinson and Frank Walters, an ex-Maryland State trooper, it was made to “assist in the training of U.S. prosecutors responsible for handling music piracy cases.”
It includes footage from “surveillance” videos and, “techniques on how to identify illegal sound recordings and highlights,” not to mention, “examples of how illegal music is sold.”
And here’s the kicker.
It even claims to provide instructions on, and we quote, “qualifying an RIAA investigator as an expert.”
