Doctor Who Season Four Spoilers out the wahoo [I Heart TV]

With season four of Doctor Who on tap in the next month or so, we’ve got the scoop on several spoilers and a camphone video from Britain of the season four trailer now showing in British theaters. If you just want to watch the video and don’t want spoilers, don’t worry, the spoilers with be spoilered-out so you don’t have to read them if you don’t want to.

Colonel Mace, the military officer in the two-part adventure with the warlike cloned Sontarans, will be the new version of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, the soldier who helped the Doctor from the late 60s onward.

Noel Clarke may be back as Mickey.

We’ll see John Simm as the Master again, but only in a flashback… and that DNA-changing fob watch will be back.

Doctor Who series four leaves helpless assistant Donna racing round the stratosphere (atmosphere) alone when the Timelord goes missing.Donna played by Catherine Tate fears for the Doctor’s life when he mysteriously disappears and draws support from an unlikely source. Former assistants Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Sarah Jane Smith and Captain Jack all rush to her aid. The fearless foursome then scour the universe in search of the Doctor battling a whole host of alien life-force.

And there’s a shock in store when actress Georgia Moffett whose real-life dad is former Doctor Who Peter Davison claims to be the Timelord’s daughter.

Finally, the Doctor must decide which of his companions lives and which dies… and he chooses to sacrifice the annoying Donna. (Quite right too.)

There will be a character called “Lux” who helps the Doctor on an expedition to uncover the secrets of an abadoned library.

Some new cast for the Sontaran 2 parter - Eleanor Matsuura (Jo), Ryan Sampson (Luke Rattigan), Rupert Holiday Evans (Colonel Mace), Bridget Hodson (Captain Price), Clive Standen (Harris), Wesley Theobald (Private Steve Gray)

Speculation
The actor playing Colonel Mace (Sontaran 2-parter) is telling people that he is the “new Brigadier”

The Master will be back and played by John Simm but this is probably in a flashback.

Noel Clarke was asked if he will return a Mickey , the answer he gave suggested he might come back.

DNA is a key role in Series 4

The fob watch will return

Rose will be in a relationship with someone (not Mickey)

David Tennant might do season 5. HOWEVER… there’s the question of David Tennnant taking a hiatus after four to go back to his Shakesperian roots that has fueled speculation that season four may be his last. In the video, there’s a split second where you see smoke coming out of the Doctor’s face, which looks an awful lot like a regeneration. Or, it could just be a red herring they threw in there so people like myself will think it’s a regeneration and it really just has something to do with the fob watch. There’s also the rumor that four might be Russell Davies’ last season as producer / director, and if so he’s definitely going to be going out with a hell of a bang since it does look like season four might be the most epic yet of the new Who run.
