The world’s first 24/7 marijuana vending machine opens up Monday in LA [News]
Listen up weed fiends, your biggest wet dream has finally come true. The world’s first weed ATM! Well actually, AVM’s: Anytime-Vending-Machines.
This AVM is available 24/7, is fully secured in it’s own room, has two dispensaries, and full-time security for your protection. You must have a doctor’s consultation and prescription to use the machine. Once you do, go to the AVM, get you prescription approved, fingerprints taken, and get your prepaid credit card ready to use the machine. Then once you’ve done that, you can go to the AVM at anytime and get your vacuum-sealed weed! You are allowed up to 1 ounce a week.
The machine will be up and running this coming Monday. Wouldn’t it be awesome to be the first person to use the world’s first automated weed dispenser? What a thing to tell your grandkids!
Future plans include machine-vended pharmaceuticals like Vicodin, Viagra, and Propecia.
One wonders what quality you get from government weed. Hmmm. Anyway, take that Japan and your panty vending machines.

Comment by McMarijuana on 27 January 2008:
yea.. it blows that we run such a corrupt government that we cannot grow, sell, or ingest a plant that our forefathers had done. George fucking Washington had his own damn field. FUCK YOU GOVERNMENT AND THE 1960’s ADMINISTRATION!!!!
Comment by J. Washa on 27 January 2008:
Well, I have to correct you…. How new it may seem. Here in the Netherlands (holland, you know with drugcapital Amsterdam, yeah where weed is a kind of legal) we have that kind of machines in coffeeshops (where they don’t sell coffee ;-))And that without prescription….think about that :-P
With green love,
A lucky Dutch ;-)
Comment by Alec Guinness on 27 January 2008:
Does any one know what legal weed costs?
Comment by zwenkwiel on 27 January 2008:
@j.Washa
nog nooit zoon machine gezien :S (maar zou kunnen beetje zinloos als je net zo goed via de balie kan doen)
(that was dutch yeah)
ow and weed isn’t technically legal (weird ass governement). but in practice you won’t notice any difference :D
ow and an ounce :o
that is a lot of weed.
assuming it’s the same quality as over here wich i doubt
but still.
i smoke a lot of weed but don’t even come close to an ounce a week. (and i’m pretty out of it most of teh time). (i don’t even know any1 who smokes that much).
anyway my point being
if it’s for medical purposes an ounce seems a bit much. i mean those people usually don’t smoke it to get stoned (a lot don’t smoke it at all (they eat or drink it) but to relieve whatever symptoms their disease causes.
Comment by Johnny Potseed on 28 January 2008:
YO I Smoke Like 6 OZ Per Month Those Machines Aint have Enough
Comment by tony on 28 January 2008:
I totally agree with the comment on the 60’s government and especially Reagan. In my opinion the reason it is illegal is because hemp will also be legalized and the oil and forestry sevice will be hurt. We are the only country in the world that does not grow hemp.
Comment by scott on 28 January 2008:
Hemp is the most versatile and useful plant in the world. If the government didn’t protect every other industry in the country it would be used to make all of our paper and clothes. Plus, hemp seeds have the most protein of any plant seed. But the government is still ridiculously inconsistent with marijuana laws,
Comment by Ricardo Lopes on 29 January 2008:
Hey! Now that’s something usefull.
I wonder why the hell govs just dont legalize hemp.
Legalize it now!
Great machine! No info on price, and will it ever be for sale?
Does the company also sell refills? I hope so, and if so, send us your e-mail! LOL ! Cheerz!
